Evangelising – Protestant perspectives for the Churches in Europe

This booklet presents the results of the doctrinal conversation group on “The Protestant Profile in the Missionary Task of the Churches in Europe” (2002–2004), commissioned by the Executive Committee of the Leuenberg Church Fellowship. Focusing on evangelisation, the group explored how its form can reflect its content. The publication offers both theological reflection and practical approaches to evangelising in diverse European contexts. The 2006 CPCE General Assembly in Budapest recommended its member churches to use the text to review and strengthen their evangelistic work.

Dieses Heft dokumentiert die Ergebnisse der von der Exekutive der Leuenberger Kirchengemeinschaft eingesetzten Lehrgesprächsgruppe zum Thema „Das evangelische Profil im missionarischen Auftrag der Kirchen in Europa“ (2002–2004). Im Mittelpunkt stand die Frage, wie Evangelisation so gestaltet werden kann, dass ihre Form dem Gehalt der Botschaft entspricht. Die Publikation verbindet theologische Grundlegungen mit konkreten Handlungsimpulsen für unterschiedliche europäische Kontexte. Die GEKE-Vollversammlung 2006 in Budapest empfahl ihren Mitgliedskirchen, den Text zur Reflexion und Weiterentwicklung eigener evangelisierender Praxis heranzuziehen.
